1. Prior to session :
- Use the QR Codes (Scan Life or any QR Code reader)
- Download Aurasma (follow NotreDameHigh and mkhatib) and Word Lens from the App Store on your phone or tablet.
- Sign up for a Voicethread.com account on your phone, tablet or computer.

Useful for creating a timeline or to brainstorm answers.

You can search for any YouTube video here: http://ed.ted.com/videos
Click the red button that says, "Launch Lesson Editor."
They normally use a video that's 3-5 minutes in length. They usually create 5 multiple choice questions, 3 open answer questions, link to at least 5 resources in the dig deeper section, and create a really engaging discussion question. You can also leave a parting thought in the "and finally" section.

13. Popplet.com - mindmapping with different resources, video and pictures.
14. Powtoons.com - Animated video. Great for explanations or creating introductions. Cartoon animation. Great for introducing yourself to the rest of the students.
15. Screenr - Screencasting tools. Has a public stream. Record your own video.
16. Linoit.com - Like Padlet but has sticky notes. You can attach PDF within the sticky. You can lock the notes if you are the owner.
17. Audacity - Create Weekly updates - (MP3 file). Load this to your harddrive and hit record, stop and then export the file to your desktop.
18. Storyboardthat - takes more time to create. A way to get students to explain a simple concept in class.
19. Voki - Great for teacher introductions or for students to introduce themselves.
20. Tagxedo - Word cloud that has shapes. Simular to Wordle.
21. Go Animate - Simular to Voki. Type in and then it translates your typing into voice. This is an animated video. 30 seconds for the free subscription.

23. PollEverywhere.com - Give a link to your class. Have them poll their answers and it shows the response in a variety of formats - Word cloud, etc...
